Yes. Pivot International can build a fully functional prototype, however we design to manufacture therefore your prototype will be designed and built with production in mind.

Once your prototype is complete, the next step in the product development process is thorough testing and evaluation. This stage is critical for validating your design and identifying opportunities for improvement before moving into production.

During testing, objectively assess every aspect of your product. Is your product the right size and weight for its intended use? Can customers understand how it works? Is it comfortable and easy to use? Does the design align with your brand and create a positive first impression? Gathering feedback from real users is vital to the success of your product, as internal teams often overlook the product’s UX.

Minor changes at this stage are easily made and fairly inexpensive. We suggest making multiple prototypes to fully test with users, gain feedback, and ensure a successful product launch.

In order to properly quote your PCBA project, we will need the Design Files, Gerbers, CAD Drawings, Bill of Materials, and Schematics (if available).

In order to properly quote a box build, we need CAD files, Parts and Assembly Drawings, Product Samples, Photos, BOM, and work instructions (if you have any of these.

Pivot is a dedicated full-service development partner, however we do not conduct market research, competitive analysis, marketing, or sales and distribution of your product.

Depending on the type of project, PCBA Manufacturing projects can take 1-2 weeks to quote and a development or engineering project can take 2-4 weeks to quote, depending on complexity.

Once both of our teams discuss your product, together we will determine the scope of work, whether that be full product design and development, prototyping, certification and testing, product assembly, or manufacturing. We can break down any of these steps in our proposal. We have global supply chain teams that will get competitive costing for parts and determine production location with hourly rates. Our quotes are good for 30 days from issuance, however the price is subject to change once all parts are secured. If parts are procured from an alternate source, such as brokers, this can have significant cost increases and will need to be submitted for approval prior to purchasing.

BOM pricing can vary based on many factors including quantity, part availability, and lead-time. We have dedicated teams throughout the US, Taiwan, China, and London to ensure the highest level of parts availability and competitive costing.

We are a contract design and manufacturing firm, so our customer owns all data files and will receive all documentation once the project is complete.

We sign a mutual NDA and also work within a design services agreement and manufacturing agreement.

No. We do not provide intellectual property or legal services, but we do work with and will provide all relevant documentation your patent attorney.
